Master List of Dear Santa Letters!
Dear Santa/Giftmaker letters are a great way to elaborate on your requests and the sorts of things you enjoy or that you'd prefer not to see in the giftwork made for you. However, posting letters is totally optional; likewise, DSSS participants are not obligated by the details of their recipients' Dear Santa/Giftmaker letters. Optional things are optional, but requirements per your official assignment email are required.
If you included a link to a placeholder Dear Santa post in your DSSS signup, you'll need to edit your Dear Santa letter into that post. If you've forgotten what you asked for in your signup, just log in to the AO3, go to Signups in the left nav bar, find Due South Seekrit Santa 2012, and you'll be able to see your requests and offers.
Once you write your letter, paste or link it in the comments below! If you paste a link, make sure your Dear Santa post is public, since your Santa may not be on your access list. If your journal is absolutely friends-only, simply paste your letter here so your Santa can stay anonymous.
Need ideas for how to write a Dear Santa letter? Check out the santa letters tag!
Obligatory reminders:
This is a SEEKRIT exchange! Keep everything you're doing seekrit until Reveal!
Your assignments are SEEKRIT until Reveal, so refrain from openly discussing your assignments, from identifying your recipient, and -- especially -- from contacting your recipient!
If you have questions about your assignment, simply ask us, your friendly-neighborhood mods! Send us email at dsss.admin (at) gmail (dot) com & we'll either figure out a solution or happily relay questions to your recipient on your -- anonymous -- behalf. We might even make up sneaky questions to keep them from guessing what they're getting. *g*
That should be everything for the moment. If you have any questions, please just ask, and when you're ready, comment below with your letter/link!
Thanks much!

I will not be posting a Dear Santa letter elsewhere, because I don't really use my personal LJ/DW for a) public posts or b) fandom-related posts. So, I've tried to make the Request Details notes fill that role. In general: this is my first DSS & only my third gift-exchange (4th if you count big bang), and I'm excited to be playing. I love presents! My prompts are all somewhat narrow/specific in at least one aspect, but that's because I'm trying to give you something inspiring to work with, not because I'm hard to please. :) Feel free to take as much or as little of what I've requested and make something you think is cool.
I like a pretty wide range of things -- anywhere on the angst-to-fluff spectrum (though angst-with-a-happy-ending tends to be my sweet spot); het, slash, or gen. I like thinky or plotty porn, but am less into porn for porn's sake, and am perfectly happy with fade-to-black sex or stories that don't have to do with sex at all. I like humor, but I tend to go for verbal/witty humor rather than crack/slapstick/goofiness. I like stories with at least some plot in them, but I mean that in the sense of conflict-and-resolution -- relationship stories can have plot just as much as casefic can.
I like visual art, too, but I'm a lot less good at articulating what I like, partly because my own imagination is extremely verbal, so it's hard for me to think of what the possibilities are (one thing I like about other people's visual art is it almost all comes under the heading of "wow, I would never have thought of that!" for me :) ).
Thanks in advance, whoever you are! I look forward to seeing what you come up with. :)

Please be patient with me, for this is my very first Seekrit Exchange! I have been a very, very good girl this year and although I may be new to all of this, I will try my hardest not to disappoint my Santa recipient.I don't ask for much, I'm really easy to please but I suppose like all of us, I do have a few things that I like more than others. :)
I prefer to have a story that has some angst to it. I love drama and situations that work themselves out in the long run. I am not a big fan of sappy love, as I call it, especially the use of words like 'babe or sweetie, but that's a personal preference. I have read many great stories where such words were used and those stories where fine, but I believe that Fraser and Ray K are manly men and don't use pet names so much. I love to see Fraser and Ray K struggle with trusting each other, not in the line of duty, but trusting their hearts with each other in their relationship. I enjoy post COTW with established relationship between Ben, as I like to call him and Ray K and I like to think that Fraser gives up the great white North, to live in Chicago with Ray instead of the other way around. I believe there are so many more possibilities for them to get themselves into and out of trouble in Chicago, but visits to Maggie and Fraser's cabin are always good getaways for a few weeks.
I also like to see the guys have to rely on each other for support, both emotional, which they both struggle with in my head, and physical support. And of course, I love a happy ending.
Thank you Santa for reading my letter and hopefully this helps! Please have fun writing, I am sure I will love my gifted fic :)
