Submissions Update
Dec. 6th, 2004 02:26 pmIs there a certain way you want our information with our story? I'm assuming you need title, author, recipient and pairing -- I don't know about rating and summary. Is there a certain uniform header you want us to use in the story file we send you? Or just the information in the body of the email?
Submissions received to date have not had ratings or summaries, and I don't see any particular need for them; however, if you feel strongly about them and want to include them, I'll include them in the post. But there is no requirement that either be listed.
Title is good--title is what I use for the LJ cut tag. Author is NOT good, since I would only have to delete it before posting. I'll add the names later, and I have your emails to refer back to if I need to research the author's name. The recipient is nice--but I have the list, so if you don't include it, I know where to find it. Pairing is nice in that it will help me set up memories but I'm not including it in the post, unless someone specifically requests that information be included. I leave beta names up to you: to date, folks have included names of their betas only when the betas are not participating in the SS. I think this is nice and helps to preserve anonymity, but I'm not inclined to make a hard and fast rule about it.
I don't need a uniform head in the email but most folks have indicated "seekrit santa" in some way, which is nice.
I think this answers all questions. And remember, you will have a chance to see the post before the general public, so if there is additional information you want included or changes you want made, that will be possible. I'm going to post a test run to the
