Congratulations to all of you who have gotten an early start! Those of you who thrive on the last minute rush, we hope you're at least spending some time pondering your prompts...?
Because we've been asked by several people: Dear Santa letters and volunteers to beta or cheerlead are ALWAYS welcome, right up to the eleventh hour! Post or sign up at any time. Now, if you find your recipient posts a late letter and it doesn't jibe with your vision, no worries. Optional details are optional! OTOH, nifty ideas you like and can slide in at the last minute can be awesome, too. Go with what works for you.
Links & Resources:
ALL of the following posts are open for ongoing comments for the duration of this year's challenge, so feel free to come play whenever you have time/need a break. Consider it on-topic procrastination. *g*
• Characterization Discussion #2, featuring Diefenbaker, Frannie, Stella, Welsh, Thatcher, Turnbull, Bob, and Maggie.
• Characterization Discussion #1, featuring Fraser, Ray Vecchio, and Ray Kowalski.
• Drabble Tree
• Fic Recs w/ great imagery
• Betas & Cheerleaders
• Dear Santa-Giftmaker letters
• DSSS Call for Pinch-hitters!
• DSSS Rules & FAQ
Look for Characterization Discussion #3 (everyone else!) this Tuesday; DSSS 2011 posting instructions will go up in the relatively near future.
Again, if you have any questions about your assignment, please let us know at dsss.admin at gmail .com and we'll go ask your recipient on your behalf. If you need help with anything else, email us and we'll see what we can do for you.
Deadline for all works:
Sunday, December 18, 11:59pm, Chicago time. If it looks like you aren't going to be able to make the deadline, please let us know as soooooon as possible so we can get a pinch hitter started on your assignment. Thanks!
Check-in!
Hi!! Okay, so how are things going, really? Is everything swimming right along? Are you fighting with your story/artwork? Are you stuck for ideas? Tell us about it. Feel free to weep, wail, vent, tear hair, grind teeth, do cartwheels, jump for joy, or otherwise express the state of your DSSS (keeping the specifics SEEKRIT, please) in the comments below! Also welcome: offers of moral support, shoulders to cry on, way-to-go's, etc.
We are cheering all of you on! YAY DSSS!!! \o/
