After going through some of the entries in the archive, I've noticed that some stories were pasted into the Rich Text editor with <i> and </i> tags already in the text. Unfortunately, this results in the finished story appearing with those tags in place, instead of being all pretty and italicized like the writer probably intended. So if you are a writer who typically tags as she goes, please have a look at your archive entry -- if the <i> tags are showing up in the preview, they will when the story is posted, too.
You can easily convert the tags to italics by posting the marked up version as a private entry on LJ, selecting the entire text of the story on the LJ page and copy-pasting that into the rich text editor at the archive, replacing your original tags-in version. (If this makes no sense to you, please let me know and I will help you sort it out. *g*)
