ds_ssdiscussionA reminder that "Seekrit things are Seekrit" and no names are to appear on a Seekrit Santa fanwork until the New Year's reveal of the author names (this is because some fen can guess the creator by who they name in their AN). You should use some form of the following if thanking your beta before the reveal: TYK to my beta, [name redacted].
A reminder that correcting errors of SPaG (spelling and grammar) is part of your beta reader's job. It appears that there may have been some confusion about what is a cheerleader and what is a beta reader since we have been receiving some fics that appear to not have been proofread and edited. Cheerleading is open to all -- beta-reading should be done by someone with
proofreading and copy-editing skills.
