Dear Santa/Giftmaker letters are a great way to elaborate on your requests and the sorts of things you enjoy. However, posting letters is optional; likewise, fic-art-vid creators are not obligated by the details of their recipients' Dear Santa/Giftmaker letters (the info in the assignment email is what's binding).

If you listed ART anywhere among your requests: the various art offers for DSSS 2010 include drawings, illustrations, wallpapers, cover art for stories, icon sets, banners, etc. Some of our artists specialize in portraits, comics, or illustrating scenes; some draw by hand, others do digital art. You could be assigned to ANY artist, so when you write your letter, please consider sharing some format and content options that your potential artist could work with.

Reminder: DSSS is a SEEKRIT exchange! Everyone needs to remain anonymous until Reveal, so please refrain from contacting your recipient. If you have questions about your prompt(s), that's FINE -- simply ask your mods! If you signed up for dSSS this year, you should have received an email with your assignment for this year's challenge. This email contains the name of your recipient, their requests (including the media they wanted for each request: story, art or vid), their 3 excluded items and any optional suggestions they might have made.

Remember, your recipient will have made up to three requests. You select ONE of these to make or write.
