DSSS 2010! Beta Readers & Cheerleaders!!

sageHey Everybody!! Everyone has had a little bit of time to look at their DSSS assignments and start thinking about them. We hope you're brimming with ideas and know just what you want to write/make art/vid, but if not, never fear! There's still LOTS of time.
Remember, participants, please use common sense and keep your recipient a secret, and for heaven's sake don't ask your recipient to be your beta or cheerleader! It would be best for beta readers NOT to be participants in DSSS, but we know how it is when the person you always beta for is in the challenge, too. So, if you are participating in DSSS, you can be a beta, but please be circumspect!
If you can volunteer to be a beta reader AND/OR to cheerlead, please do so below. What to say in your comment:
• I want to cheerlead!
- the sorts of DSSS-relevant things you enjoy or would love to see exist
- fic, art, vid?
- how to reach you directly if the DSSS participant wants to protect her anonymity
• I want to beta!
- the formats you can beta (fic, art, vid)
- the content you can beta (characters, pairings, special knowledge -- Northern Canada, Chicago, RCMP, casefic procedure, wolves, turtles, classic American automobiles, dancing, drag, kids, particular kinks, etc.)
- squicks/limitations/things you aren't comfortable betaing (non/dub-con, horror, kidfic, particular kinks, etc.)
- the kinds of betas you can do: line edit, plot beta, grammar only, story edit, etc. -- or whatever types of beta exist for art and vid? (I only know how to beta fic, but if there are parallels in the other formats, please mention them!)
- how to reach you directly if the DSSS participant wants to protect her anonymity
DSSS PARTICIPANTS, please note: If you're creating something (an AU, for example) that could use a beta with specialized knowledge and you're having trouble finding a beta, please email your mods at dsss.admin at gmail and we can post a beta request your behalf. We can't guarantee any takers, obviously, but at least this way your awesome (space/cowboy/gambler AU) work will remain anonymous until Reveal. *g*
