YAY DSSS: 6 weeks!

sageHi everybody!! Guess what, all you lovely DSSS giftmakers! You have SIX (6) Weeks Left until the deadline! Woohoo! \o/ \o/ \o/

Dear Santa-Giftmaker letters, yay!
DSSS Rules & FAQ!
• We will be opening the archive for you to post your works in late November or early December. We'll provide instructions for uploading your work at that point.
• A number of fun little activities are coming, starting very, very soon, so Follow This Comm!
• All works are due Sunday, December 18, by 11:59pm Chicago time.
We very much hope everyone's off to a great start, but if you're having trouble settling on an idea, please make use of our resources. Check out the cheerleader and beta list for help -- and volunteer your help to others if you can! If you haven't yet posted a Dear Santa letter, consider doing that, too -- the person making your giftwork may thank you! And if you need ANYTHING about your assignment clarified, please email us at dsss.admin at gmail.com and WE will go ask your recipient on your behalf. Remember, everyone needs to stay anonymous until Reveal, so let us do the asking for you.
Pinch hits
If you find that you won't be able to complete your assignment by the deadline, let us know as soon as possible so we can activate a pinch hitter. The more notice you give us, the more time the pinch hitter will have to create the giftwork. We totally understand that Life Happens: that's why we have a pinch hitter system already set up. No harm, no foul, just let us know as soon as things look iffy so we can get you some backup.

Feel free to flail in the comments here if you'd like! How are things going? Do you have your idea? Do you have *too many* ideas? Keep what you're making & your recipient's identity a secret, but otherwise feel free to discuss!
