sageThere are 2 weeks remaining until the DSSS 2012 deadline! Woohoo! If you haven't yet begun your giftwork, now is probably a good time to get on that (or else to start panicking *g*). If you're nearly done, great! If you've already got yours uploaded, fantastic!
Deadline stuff
Your primary giftworks must be uploaded by Dec 18. If you don't think you can make the Dec 18 deadline, please let us know ASAP at dsss.admin at gmail so we can activate a pinch hitter.
Bonus work deadline: this year we can offer a few extra days for adding BONUS works to the archive. I'll post a Last Call to the comm on Dec 22 before closing the archive to new posts. Artists, I need you send any & all works for me to upload to the DSSS art server by Last Call. Again, bonus works are fun if you have time & ideas, but they are 100% optional.
Beta reminders
Remember, you must get your work beta'd. Mergatrude & I will be previewing all works and may request you make revisions if necessary. An editing hint to writers: read your story aloud as you revise. It will sound completely different to your ears from how it does in your head when you read silently; this is much closer to how another reader will experience your work. Remember also to leave enough time between getting your work beta'd and the deadline so you can make revisions.

Green -- It's back from beta? I'll just be over here tinkering until, oh, Dec 24 or so?
Yellow -- I'd be fine if not for this enormous rewrite/redo. *eyes calendar worriedly*
