48 Hour Warning!
Dec. 17th, 2012 12:00 am![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
You now have 48~ hours to get your DSSS works uploaded to the archive. If you upload & your work title has "(draft)" immediately following it, then your work has NOT posted to the collection. Go to your Drafts folder (AO3 left nav bar), find your work, and hit Post. If you have trouble with this, come find a mod ASAP!
Will you be away? If you're going to be AFK when works go live, please take a moment to comment here! It would be sad for your Santa/Giftmaker to spend the holidays fruitlessly checking the archive to see if you liked what they made you when you haven't even been able to access it yet.
Deadlines: All primary giftworks are due by Tues Dec 18, @11:59pm Chicago time. You may continue to tinker, but we will be checking at the deadline that works are COMPLETE and meet DSSS standards. All bonus giftworks are due when I post Last Call on Dec 22nd. After Last Call, the DSSS 2012 archive will be closed to new uploads.
If you have doubts about the deadline, email us ASAP at dsss.admin at gmail.com.
Keep Seekrit Things Seekrit 'til Reveal Day! Gift works go live -- with seekrit, unrevealed authors/artists -- on the evening of Dec 24th (knock wood). You will all remain anonymous for a week while people try to guess who made which gift. DO leave comments/kudos on works you enjoy,

EDITED TO ADD
The AO3 has JUST implemented a new feature that allows you to SEEKRITLY reply to comments on your unrevealed works:
Just in time for several gift exchange deadlines, we've introduced a small enhancement that will allow you to respond to feedback once works have been posted, but before authors are officially revealed. This applies to any of your works in a collection (or challenge) that has been set to Anonymous by the collection owner: When you reply to a comment, your name in the thread and any outgoing comment notifications will be masked as "Anonymous Creator", and will be automatically switched to your username once authors are revealed. \o/
SO, effectively, it's your call. If you want, you may reply to comments on your work and the system will automatically mask you as "Anonymous Creator" if you're logged in. But many of us have distinctive writing styles, where even an anonymous reply would reveal our identities to anyone who knows us.
Whatever you do, please refrain from signing your name WITHIN the comment field. Staying anonymous until Reveal Day is part of the fun!

Thanks, everyone! Let us know if you have any questions!
(So, are you panicking yet?)
