Ohmigosh!

I had my first inquiry about next steps this a.m.! I'm all ohmigosh this is really going to work and there will be lovely, lovely stories to read on Christmas Day!

If any of the rest of you are getting close, here's what you will need to do:

1) Make sure you are signed on as a friend on ds_seekritsanta, so that I can set up a custom friend's group for you.

2) Send me your finished story in a format compatible with lj--html or rich text.

3) I will post your story to ds_seekritsanta, with the entry viewable only by your custom friend group--translation, you and nobody else--and let you know it's been posted. Stories will be posted without authors' names and with the generic dS Seekrit Santa icon.

4) You will view the entry and let me know if there are any problems or if you want changes.

5) At midnight on December 24, I will post all of the entries to Memories on the ds_seekritsanta lj and then post an announcement that the stories are available for viewing. I'll break the Memories section down into pairing categories, or characters for gen, so hopefully the section will be easy to navigate.

ETA: Also by recipient name, so you can find your story!

6) At midnight on December 31, I will attach authors names to the entries, and authors will be free to post stories to their web sites or ljs or archives or wherever.

Is there a certain way you want our information with our story? I'm assuming you need title, author, recipient and pairing -- I don't know about rating and summary. Is there a certain uniform header you want us to use in the story file we send you? Or just the information in the body of the email?

Do you want us to attached a word file with the story in it, coded for lj, or include the story in the body of the email? Which would be easier for you?

You can either attach it as a separate file or include it in the body of the email--folks have done either and both is just a copy and paste function for me.
