Awesome dSSS participants, you have SIXTEEN DAYS LEFT until Chanukkah to create your assigned giftwork for your recipient! Remember to leave enough time to get it beta'd, to make revisions, and to figure out the upload instructions, which are roughly the same as last year, for your work format. (Until the AO3 can anonymously host non-fic formats themselves, non-fic gifts must be hosted on the dSSS servers.)

Deadline
Tuesday, December 16, by 11:59 PM Chicago time. Works go live one week later. \o/

Defaulting
If you find that you need to default on your assignment, please let us know as soon as possible so that we may recruit a pinch hitter to take your recipient's prompt(s). The more time the pinch hitter has to create the gift, the happier everyone will be!

Treats!
Information on creating TREATS for dSSS participants is still in the offing, so keep a lookout on the comm for that.

Beta Requests & Offers
Remember that all works must be beta'd, no matter what format they're in. If you are having trouble finding a beta, please email us and we'll post an anonymized beta request for you. Then you can contact likely volunteers directly (unless they're your recipient-- Do NOT contact your recipient!). If you can volunteer to beta in ANY of our giftwork formats, please do that at the Call-for-Betas page!

Yep, every year (at least every year since I started participating) the dSSS deadline has either been the day before my birthday or on my birthday (high-stress birthday "present").
