Assignments are Out!

If you signed up for dSSS this year, you should have received an email from AO3 with your assignment for this year's challenge.  Except, due to your mod's technical error, you should actually have received TWO emails.  The SECOND one is correct.  Please delete & ignore the first one.  If you are in doubt, log into AO3 and check your "My Assignments" page; the correct assignment will be listed there.  Feel free to email the mods at dsss.admin at gmail dot com if you're still not sure.

If you have not received this email, please check your spam or junk mail filter. If it isn't there either, please let us know ASAP at dsss.admin at gmail dot com.

Reminders:

Your assignment may have up to three requests - pick ONE of the requests only.

Optional tags and Dear Santa letters are suggestions only. You are making a fanwork for the character/pairing/moresome as per the request.

Stories must be at least 1000 words in length, per the AO3's word count. Podficced works must also be at least 1000 words in length. Vids must be at least 1.5 minutes long. Visual art should be equal in effort and time to a well-crafted 1,000 word story. All gift works must be beta-ed.  Check the challenge profile for rules and FAQ.

Absolutely do NOT contact your recipient if you have questions. Contact *us* and we will fix things.

Basically, seekrit things are seekrit. Optional things are optional. Required things are required. If confused, ALWAYS ASK A MOD! If asking reveals things about your assignment, EMAIL, don't comment!

If you have any questions, email us and we'll get back to you as quickly as we can.

If you get finished early and have an idea for a bonus work that is totally cool, but you only have to make ONE work for your recipient.

Mod, err, I've done with my assignment (I was inspired and didn't want to wait!) and I was going to upload it, but I've realized the collection is still close. When will it be open, and could you let us know when it will happen? Thank you (eager to upload the gift)! :)

Wow, I expect that breaks all previous land-speed records! I'm glad to hear you were so inspired. :)

The collection will open for posting on December 1. (I know, that's a long way away.)

In the meantime, you might want to wait a little while and see if your fanwork needs any polishing -- and don't forget, this challenge requires all giftworks to be beta-ed, if you haven't done that already.

Gifts go live December 24, giftmaker identities are revealed Jan 1.
